Sunday, September 28 10am-6pm

This festival looks really interesting - Venice has so much character and I like how this festival has a "green" theme.
On September 28, Venice will host the ultimate block party in celebration of the 24th annual Abbot Kinney Festival. Renowned for eclectic shopping and world class restaurants, Abbot Kinney Blvd will be closed to traffic from Main St. to Venice Blvd to accommodate 3 stages of live music, dancers and performance artists, a spectacular Family Courtyard, Traditional festival and ethnic foods, Beer Garden, Green Living Area and over 300 vendors featuring original, handcrafted goods.
With the goal to be a zero waste event, the festival is encouraging recycling and is not allowing vendors to use plastic bags or styrofoam. In the "Green Living Area" there will be environmentally conscious vendors and non-profits, interactive events, workshops and innovative ideas on Green living.
Tips:
-Bring a shop cloth tote bags to shop with. If you forget, vendors will be selling them.
-Take public transportation, bike, or carpool if possible. Parking will be scarce and a pain.
