As much as I love interacting with all of you on theMET, a significant portion of my time is spent finding new ways to grow it. Our content is rich, the group we have is solid, so now it's just a matter of good marketing. (And you may remember my mantra - "If the product is good it's a damn shame if people don't know about it.") I've reached out to a lot of new people through other social networks like artreview.com - hence, a lot of artists coming into theMET - and every day I'll continue to work hard to make this site grow.
Today I submitted theMET to a new site called Great Startups
- I loved the clean design of their blog and their message:
GreatStartups.com is a weblog strictly focused on Startups.
A startup company or start-up is defined as a company with a limited operating history. There are startups created everyday in all types of industries and located all over the world.
We plan on writing about startups entering that market, have growth potential or have done very well. We also will cover startups that may be having problems or simply did not succeed due to various reasons.
Startup businesses are a daily reminder that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
I'm happy to announce that theMET was chosen tonight as one of their great startups!
Their blog post
Although we have just launched less then 24 hours ago, I have seen our share of social networks sites that have “submitted a startup” to us.
My Modern Metropolis (aka theMET) did catch our attention....(more)
Sometimes I get discouraged but I think that's natural. Are we headed in the right direction, are we growing quick enough, can theMET break through? With all of your support and with some outside affirmation, it fuels us to keep going.
Thanks again, everyone, for being a part of this! You guys rock.
