Today we're firing it up with some of the most smoking Esquire magazine covers in years past. Esquire began as a racy publication for men back in 1933 but transformed itself into a more refined periodical with an emphasis on men's fashion. Today they're best known for their annual feature Sexiest Woman Alive designation which the magazine bills as a benchmark of female attractiveness. Take a short walk down memory lane as we present to you our favorite covers from present day to 1999.

Those were some exquisite and memorable covers, except the red one of Britney Spears circa 2003. She looks like Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) - WTF?

Esther Canadas was one of my fav. models ever. Where has she been?

Coincidentally I'm reading the July 2007 Angelina Jolie issue right now. There is a short story by Stephen King called "The Gingerbread Girl."

I wish the magazine industry wasn't on such a steep decline. To me it's a totally diff. experience from the web. But I guess that's another talk show.

I've had a long-standing crush on Monica Bellucci... prolly since I saw her in 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' anyway, yeah, totally debilitating K-RUSH!

Gisele's legs. Those alone could be a cover. But Scarlett is amazing.
