If you ever wondered who was behind all those amazing Saturday Night Live (SNL) portraits, wonder no longer. New York-based staff photographer, Mary Ellen Matthews, is responsible for creating those highly stylized images. Since 1999, Matthews has been the one maintaining that distinctive look we've all come to love. Working with everyone from politicians and sports figures to pop stars and actors, Matthews has that rare ability of bringing out the most colorful side of each character.
