Some of my most favorite blogs to check out for Marketing are Seth Godin's
and David Armano's
. Here David Armano talks about micro-interactions and how that influences the way we see companies.
“We live in a world where the little things really do matter. Each encounter no matter how brief is a micro interaction which makes a deposit or withdrawal from our rational and emotional subconscious. The sum of these interactions and encounters adds up to how we feel about a particular product, brand or service. Little things. Feelings. They influence our everyday behaviors more than we realize.”

Then, think about your experience with certain brands. I went down to Dana Point yesterday and relied on Google Maps to get me there. I had trust in Google enough to just print out that map in about 5 seconds and go. Every time I search I start with Google. They've done such a good job in building up that trust, through micro interactions, that I wouldn't start my search anywhere else.
