Schultz is trying to make me healthy: Starbuck's Vivanno

So Schultz, you must know that I drink way too much coffee. Perhaps you are monitoring my coffee consumption via your loyalty card. Perhaps you are reading your message boards. Maybe you knew that you couldn't take on McD's or Dunkin Donuts with lower prices so you decided to take on the next best thing, the big kahuna, Jamba Juice.

I walked into your store this morning and saw it everywhere - banners, signs, samples, you even got your employees to wear different shirts. I'm watching you, Schultz!

Facts about Vivanno:
Orange Mango Banana and Banana Chocolate flavored beverages provide at least one serving of fruit, 16 grams of protein, and 5 grams of fiber with 270 calories or less and no artificial colors, artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup (nutrition based on 16 fluid ounces).

The simple ingredient list for both beverages includes:
• one whole banana,
• a proprietary whey protein and fiber powder,
• choice of milk,
• and ice (in the Orange Mango Banana Blend, Naked® Juice is also added).

Tried it this morning and I must say, it's not half bad. Doesn't take protein-y (i.e. grainy), no bad after taste. We shall see if this catches on Schultz. We shall see (muwahahaha...cue menacing laugh)....

warning! the orange mango one is pretty yummy but the chocolate banana one is really protein-y. my bff from high school grace lee tried one and it was no good. i tried it too and it was not good. i also asked the starbucks girls today how they were selling and she said generally people like the orange mango one but do not like the banana chocolate one.

you've been warned! :)
