With all of the previous discussion about Starbucks and Pinkberry I had to get your opinion on this one.
I walked into Starbucks today expecting to see the ads for the new protein shake, (thanks Alice) but definitely didn't expect to find the new
Icy Italian Cool SORBETTO! Yes folks, I said sorbetto. Starbucks is hailing the Sorbetto as an, "indulgent Italian-inspired treat for consumers looking for a mid-afternoon snack." (Translation: Starbucks is looking to fill a post-morning slowdown in foot traffic by offering a cool, non-caffeinated drink in the afternoon.)
The pinkberry inspired drink comes in 3 flavors: Tangy, Citrus Ice and Tangy Citrus Ice. Cost $2.95 for a 10-ounce size. I tried the Citrus Ice, (grapefruit-flavored) and the Tangy Citrus Ice, (mango-flavored). Of the two I definitely enjoyed the Tangy Citrus more. I didn't try the Tangy, but was told it tastes just like pinkberry.

So here is my question: does anybody feel like Starbucks is trying a little
too hard to increase sales or do you feel like they're doing a good thing by offering more options to their customers?
Note: The Sorbetto, is exclusive to 313 company-operated stores in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
