I seriously love this place. My family has ownership in it. (There are about 25 investors in the restaurant.) Anyway, the food is amazing, and the service is great. Its not cheap, but nothing good ever is. The Sommelier Will is the nicest coolest guy you'd ever meet, and JC the guy who kinda runs the show is so personable, always remembers me and makes sure everyone is having a good time.
Here are some pictures of the menu. The specials change all the time and are always to die for. I love that they usually have some sort of game meat on the specials. I love that. I had elk there the other night that was incredible. My family and I go pretty often.
With three separate viewing windows spanning 8 feet by 12 feet each, it is virtually impossible to miss the state of the art wine cellar that can easily accommodate up to 3000 bottles and is climate controlled to keep the white wines and Champagnes at their desired temps. The 800sq ft cellar is lined with mahogany racking, and features marble counters, rustic limestone flooring and elegant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.

Best restaurant in OC hands down!
I've eaten at some pretty great places in Orange County. Five Crowns, Ruth's Chris, Gulfstream, Gulliver's, Riviera, and Mortons. I couldn't care less about those other places now that I have found The Winery. First of all, the name says it: they have an amazing wine selection. But the food is exceptional. I've had pretty much everything on the menu now. The bone-in filet so good, the short ribs are fantastic, the scallops are delicious, and the lamb- phenominal. But the best dish by far is the Duck 2 ways. I love the variety. You have to try it. FIVE STARS!!!
