It's 'bout time for LA to have its own BBQ Festival and the inaugural event will feature some finger lickn' 'cue from local favorites including Baby Blues BBQ and Mr. Cecil's in addition to visiting pitmasters from Mississippi and Kansas City.
Taking place Sept 13th and 14th on the Santa Monica Pier parking lot, the event will feature bbq from different regions--Memphis baby back ribs, North Carolina pulled pork, Kansas City spare ribs and of course, all the fixens like baked beans, mac n' cheese, and cole slaw. An entertainment stage will feature a Johnny Cash tribute band in addition Ticket to Ride, a Beatles cover band, Metal Shop (after a few beers, you know you'll want to sing along to Living on a Prayer and Pour Some Sugar On Me) and various country acts. Food? Check. Beer and wine? Check. Music? Check. Sun and sand? Check.
Tickets to the event are $10 and VIP Passes go for $50. The VIP Passes include free admission on both days, a festival T-shirt and CozmoDeck, and most importantly, much shorter lines to food and drinks. Neither option includes food or drinks, which may be purchased separately. But since you're receiving this email, and we're the sponsors, you can enter "cozmo" to get $5 off general admission and $15 off VIP Passes (they're available on a limited supply to ensure shorter lines, so make sure to purchase them soon). For more information, visit www.labbqfest.com and where you may purchase tickets.
The two-day Los Angeles BBQ Festival will take place on the Santa Monica Beach, adjacent to the Santa Monica Pier, on Sept 13th and 14th. It’s a one-of-a-kind BBQ extravaganza showcasing LA’s best BBQ, in addition to BBQ vendors from around the country, beer garden, and live entertainment featuring bluegrass and country music. The event will bring together over 15,000 BBQ lovers from San Diego to Santa Barbara and highlight the country's top pit masters from Texas, Missouri, and Mississippi.
