WARNING: This isn't for the lighthearted. Knotts Scary Farm is the oldest, biggest, and arguably the baddest scare-fests in So Cal. Zombies and freakish monsters lurk behind every sagebrush in Knott's three scare zones, CarnEVIL, The Gauntlet, and Ghost Town. This year's event features 13 mazes, which include the new Alien Annihilation (sci-fi meets horror) and the all-night-rave-gone-wrong Club Blood, as well as returning classics such as The Doll Factory and Killer Clown College.
Among the seven stage shows is the always wildly inventive The Hanging, which takes a ghoulish look at current events through blood-colored glasses. Other highlights Dr. Cleaver's Big Election and Festival of Freaks, professional weirdos that eat glass and stick their fingers in light sockets.
Many of Knott's regular rides will be open in addition to the Halloween mayhem. Taking little kids is not recommended.
