Do we have any Japanese food lovers in the house? The 9th Annual Japanese Food Festival will take place at the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens in Downtown LA tomorrow from 11am-3pm. I've never been to this before, but looking at the pictures, this event has some serious potential. Tickets are $50 a pop. According to the website, attendees will be able to indulge in a tremendous array of Japanese foods and beverages including sushi, sashimi, yakitori, tempura, curry, noodles, beer, sake, shochu, tea, and more! The most astonishing demonstration of the event will be a filleting show. A six foot long tuna will be cut into fillets right in front of your eyes. Only highly trained and thoroughly experienced sushi chefs can perform this job. In addition, there will be a "40 foot long Mega Sushi Roll" making event which up to 40 people can participate.
