Want to race a bullet? At 1000mph, with Bloodhound SSC you might just win.

Do you feel the need? The need for speed? Meet Bloodhound SSC. England’s Science Minister Lord Drayson recently announced plans to create a car that is capable of reaching 1,000 mph. The car is an attempt to break the previous world land speed record of 760 mph set in 1997. In it's quest for land speed superiority, Bloodhound SSC will use a Eurojet EJ200 jet engine, a hybrid turbo engine, and a newly designed aerodynamic exterior.

Where do I sign up? Isn't main problem with land speed the tire integrity?
