Comic-Con @ San Diego Convention Center, July 24-27th

So I have this weird fascination with costumes, they just crack me up. Case in point, the most admirable thing my husband has ever done is squeeze into a Spiderman outfit for our nephew Evan's 2nd birthday party.
You can't tell that it's him except you can see his Puma shoes..haha.

Not to be outdone, I also sacked up and wore a Mrs. Incredible outfit to our niece Berry's party this past year. (Sure, Sam wore the Shrek outfit too but mine was skin tight and I don't care who you are...that ain't pretty). See sister Grace's profile for that picture.

Sorry, back to Comic-Con. So my friend, Dave, raved about Comic-Con last year telling me I had to go this year. So I will. I checked out the LA Times review from last year.

Here's the brief synopsis: The San Diego Comic-Con enters its 39th year as the country’s premier comics and popular arts convention with a brand new slate of special guests, themes and anniversaries, and programming.
Originally showcasing comic books, science fiction/fantasy and film/television and related popular arts, the convention has expanded over the years to include a larger range of pop culture elements, such as horror, anime, manga, animation, toys, collectible card games, video games and webcomics. The convention is the largest of its kind in the world, filling to capacity the San Diego Convention Center with over 125,000 attendees in 2007.

Looks like TV and Movies come out in force...in fact, there was an Iron Man panel last year...

So here's some quick, funny pictures about people dressing up to the festival.

I won't be busting out my Mrs. Incredible outfit but you will probably see me roaming the halls, snapping up pictures.
