3D Street Art Creatures

At first glance, DAL's incredibly detailed wall murals look as if they were painted on. Look a little closer, and it appears as though there is metal wire coming out of the wall! These three-dimensional pieces are all part of DAL's Creatures series, which was recently completed in Cape Town, South Africa.

Born in China, Du Yi studied sculpture at the Institute of Fine Arts in New York. He started creating street art in 2004 under the alias DAL. According to his website: “He is inspired by the way the material world revolves, how the spiritual world unfolds, life's emotions, and the infinite space around us. He uses different mediums, methods, disciplines, and spaces to create his works.”
