My Modern Metropolis

Toronto-based designer Ibraheem Youssef just recently released a new set of minimalist movie posters. For those of you who are unfamiliar with his work, he's also the one behind those cool, retro-modern Tarantino movie posters. I particularly love his color choices and his clever and witty style...

Here's what Youssef says about these new posters.

"It’s been a while since I pumped out some new work. I’ve been working on these four posters for the past two months and I’ve finally been able to silence the Obsessive compulsive designer voice in my head and settle on Final renditions for each film. The Three films I chose to do are Scarface, The Big Lebowski & Inception. Speaking of Inception, if you haven’t seen it yet, go now. It is simply one of the best films I have seen in a long time, intricate intelligent plot, great acting, fast pace, superb action and suspense right up until the last second of the film.

"Christopher Nolan surely has done a great job with this one, I’m sure it will be a classic right away, it reminds me of the Matrix when that first came out, nothing was like it, a truly original concept (before the Wachowski brothers messed it up)."
