50 Best New U.S. Restaurants By Travel+Leisure

Travel + Leisure recently put out its list of the top fifty best new U.S. restaurants. What's great about this list is that T+L thought about our current economic state and so put together a list that's more suited for real people than the Hollywood elite. Here's T+L's take: "At a time of economic difficulty and changing consumer tastes for both food and décor, we crisscrossed the country in search of outstanding new restaurants with a very different mind-set." "We gravitated toward spots that offered us warmth and a sense of human connection, and greeted the opening of a neighborhood noodle parlor or artisanal sandwich shop with an enthusiasm formerly reserved for high-concept eating destinations." You can flip through their slideshow (it's quite painful) or you can check out this list below. (I added in all the links.) 1. Chicago: L20 2. Chicago: Urbanbelly 3. Chicago: Perennial 4.
