Astrophotographer Spends Two Months Creating This Spectacular Lunar Analemma

Architect Betul Turksoy is an accomplished astrophotographer who used her time and dedication to create an incredible image of a lunar analemma. For those of you who may not be familiar, an analemma shows the position of either the Sun or the Moon from a fixed point over the course of many weeks. The finished diagram looks like a figure eight and is quite hard to accomplish photographically due to the number of images needed.

Artist Restores Shattered Plates With Spectacular Pen and Ink Drawings

After accidentally breaking a plate, most people would throw it away; however, artist Robert Strati takes a different approach. He transforms shattered plates into imaginative pieces of art. With pen in hand, the gifted creative lays the fragmented pottery on his canvas and fills in the empty spaces between them with swirling ornate designs that match the patterns already printed on the ceramic shards.

Yoko Ono’s ‘Refugee Boat’ Invites Visitors To Participate and Spreads a Powerful Message of Hope

First conceived in the 1960s, Yoko Ono's Add Colour series invites people to participate in creating a collective piece of art. With Add Colour (Refugee Boat), currently installed at London's Tate Modern, Ono asks us to think about the power of collective action in relation to today's immigration crisis. The current iteration, which is part of the Tate's YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND exhibition, began with a white boat in a white room.
