Intricately Detailed Murals of Animals Living in Harmony

Southern California-based artist Adonna Khare creates incredibly imaginative illustrations of animals whimsically interacting with each other. From enormous elephants to miniature mice, Khare creates an illustrated zoo full of diverse creatures. She even includes mythical creatures that range in surreal sizes. In one instance a gorilla wears a tower as a hat and in another a bear standing upright doesn't even make it up to an elephant's knee.

Khare's large-scale murals are especially breathtaking, featuring countless creatures that are both real and imagined hybrids. Though the portraits are crowded with various subjects, seeming almost chaotic, it is revealed upon closer inspection that they lovingly live in harmony. A bird comfortably rests on a koala's head, a reindeer grazes in a lion's mane, and a bull shares a bath with a couple of fish as though it were always meant to be this way.
