On his website, Basha describes his subjects as “poetically transformed into mutant creatures riding towards a surrealistic space.” His work seems to suggest the subtle networks that link different living species, revealing the wild nature in all things. As for his materials, the artist cites an “old-fashioned” approach, saying that he “still believes [in] the instinctive expressiveness of an ink line” and the primordial tools of pen and paper.
