Zoo Sparks Controversy by Requesting Donation of Unwanted Pets To Feed Its Predators

In a Facebook post that has stirred a lot of big feelings, a zoo in Denmark reminded the public that it accepts the donation of small pets like rabbits, chickens, and guinea pigs to use as feed for its predators. The Aalborg Zoo says that it will gratefully accept unwanted animals, which are then โ€œgently euthanized by trained staffโ€ and given to animals like the zooโ€™s European lynx as part of their diet.

This can go from cute, with kittens grooming each other, to uncomfortably odd, with cows sucking each other's faces. But kissing is not exclusive to land-dwelling animals. Scientists have caught orcas โ€œFrench kissingโ€ on camera in different underwater environments. And while it may come across as a little odd, it offers some insight into whale behavior.
