My Modern Metropolis
The Velveteen Rabbit

Going on now till April 30th is a show that most anyone can relate to. If you grew up in the United States, more likely than not, you've read most of the books that were the inspiration behind Gallery 1988's current show Required Reading.

Today's artists were asked to create posters that were inspired by classic novels. You'll find everything from charming childhood stories like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Pinocchio to classic literature like The Catcher in the Rye and The War of the Worlds illustrated for you. While most of these limited-edition prints have sold out, you can still enjoy them at Gallery 1988's website.

Here's a sampling of our favorites.

The show was curated by our friends over at OMGPosters and poster artist Rob Jones.
