It's been almost a year since we checked in with this adorable pair - a Japanese boy named Tasuku and his French bulldog named Muu. The Tokyo-based duo gained international fame when photos of their sweet friendship went viral earlier this year. (They now have over 160,000 Facebook fans and over 327,500 Instagram followers.) Tasuku's mother, Aya Sakai, the one behind the shots, used to work in the fashion industry. As she told CBS News, "I once handled magazine advertising, so perhaps I picked up a sense for visual expression and how to show photos."
The now full-time mother has a knack for capturing tender moments between the pair, especially when they're napping. Sakai explains that this is all on purpose because it's easier to take photos of them when they're holding still. "Movement doesn't capture well (on a smartphone) so I try to snap them in repose."
Recently, Taskuku had two major milestones happen in his life. In November, the little boy turned 3-years-old, and soon after, the family welcomed his baby brother.
