Beautiful Betsy Hotel in South Beach

A beautiful boutique hotel is getting ready to reopen its doors on South Beach's Ocean Drive. The Betsy (formerly the Betsy Ross) is a contemporary tropical colonial hotel with an interior design that is bright, open and connected. With its towering columns, expansive front porch, and tall windows, The Betsy evokes classic colonial architecture. Inside, antique plantation style wooden shutters, potted palms and white lacquered furniture add to the charm. Rooms will have a crisp look with four different nature-inspired color schemes: fields of lavendar in Provence, sunbathed Tuscan ochre, vibrant red coral or fresh Spring green.

Glamorous without being stuffy, the Betsy is a boutique hotel we'd love to visit.

This kind of luxury doesn't come cheap. Rates will range from $400 to $750; suites begin at $1,110. Reservations are now open for March.

Not feelin' the purple, which threw the style from South Beach to Myrtle Beach.
