If I asked you where this home was located, the last place you'd probably guess would be Iran. Located in Mohammad Shahr region, near Karaj city, Villa Kiani is set in the middle of a lush green garden. Architects Makan Rahmanian and Kamran Heirati purposely designed the Villa’s interior space this way so that it became an extension of the landscape. With high ceilings and large glass walls, the house is spaced out perfectly and provides great views of the garden. The interior is just as brilliant as the exterior. Marble floors, along with wooden tables and white walls give the house a classic and warm feel - all while being very modern.. via [archdaily]

  • wonderful dream house!!
  • Excellent volumes. They had to have been inspired by living in or visiting L.A.

Looks like something you'd see in BHPO...or Coral Gables...with the exception of the razor wire on the perimeter wall. What's up with that?

  • Despite years of embargoes an relative impoverishment compared to the 1970s, the people of Iran continue to be extremely sophisticated.  They are also just about the friendliest people you can meet.
