Behind the Scenes: Alice in Wonderland

This great video from Wired takes us behind the scenes of Alice in Wonderland and shows us how Tim Burton worked his magic to make the familiar story come alive in a new and exciting way. Using a green screen and "whatever works" Tim Burton combines a wide variety of techniques to develop these complex scenes. In many cases he couldn't even see the results until very late in production when everything was put together for the first time. He says "It’s been such a weird process…. We used so many different techniques that it really didn’t manifest itself. Shots really didn’t come in, in full, till the very end…. It was a constantly evolving thing.”
