Glowing Earth Chandelier Uses Recycled Globes

Geography enthusiasts will adore this globe chandelier by Benoit Vieubled. Consisting of 15 recycled Earth spheres, Monde l'endroit, Monde l'envers is a creative way to put old items to good use. Vieubled created the 6.5 foot long lighting system by hanging the various globes at different levels to form a spiral of rotating planets. Vieubled says that he tends to “keep only the essentials and the purity of the object.”

Vieubled prefers a simple and elegant style, and according to his site, his lighting designs “evoke the magical moments of luxury, serenity, and lightness.” You can see the world in new ways as the different colored maps suspend from the ceiling and illuminate your home. Imagine having this lighting system hanging overhead as you drift off to sleep, dreaming of new and exciting adventures around the world!
