Founded by industrial designer and orthopedic surgeon Scott Summit, the company uses 3D scanning technology to capture an image of the existing leg, and then builds a matching prosthetic based off of the digitally generated model. The customer is provided with a variety of designs, patterns, tattoos, materials, finishes, metal platings, and graphics to choose from. Based on their selections, the new limb becomes a work of art. Costs range from $4,000 to $6,000.
The website explains, "Humans are anything but one-size-fits-all, and we want to recognize that fact. We achieve this by creating products that allow our clients to personalize their prosthetic legs."
