Breakfasts Around the World (7 pics)

France

Inka's post on What the World Eats made us truly appreciate how our cultural diversity plays into our food choices. Hamburg-based German photographer Oliver Schwarzwald delves specifically into our most important meal of the day with his series, "Breakfast." Here, he artistically displays the stereotypical breakfasts in six different countries which humorously includes a cigarette and croissant from France as well as the classic international hotel breakfast!

The series was shot for the German magazine Feld Hommes.

Sweden

Swedish Knackebrod, smoked fish, and coffee.

Russia

Curd-cheese with fruit, egg, caviar, and hearty bread.

Great Britain

Sausage links, fried egg, toast, baked beans, and tea.

USA

A blueberry pancake, corn flakes, and a glass of orange juice.

International

Toast, egg, bread roll, butter, jelly and coffee.
