Halloween Couple in Homemade Green Army Men Costumes

Halloween is a time for people to get especially creative and this year, Redditor BritishRacingGreen and his girlfriend have gone all out, transforming themselves into life-size plastic green army men. The San Francisco-based duo roamed the city streets in their elaborate getup, stopping for countless photo ops as they each took their position with their carefully crafted props–one with a makeshift telephone box and toy pistol, the other carrying a “bazooka.”

Each of the portable objects, like the rest of their costumes, were the time-consuming results of meticulous preparation. Everything was coating in primer and later spray painted green, apart from their own skin which was turned green through applied makeup. The process, though simple enough, turned out to be quite the task. “It was insane. For my suit alone it was about 8 cans of primer, and then maybe 6 cans of green,” says the dedicated Halloween enthusiast. “[My suit] was so stiff that it was hilarious trying to get our shoes on. I didn't realize until the end of the night that my arms were totally cut up on the inside from bending my arm. Ouch! And taking a pee? A military-grade challenge for sure.”
