Business Cards Transform Into 3D Metal Sculptures (10 total)

Office

These fold-out business cards by Sam Buxton are insane! Three-dimensional miniature environments are folded out from a single, flat sheet of stainless steel, in a similar way to origami paper folding. Buxton discovered the idea through a chemical milling process while working in the electronics industry. When a manufacturer spotted Buxton's first business card (above) at a design exhibition in London, the card was put into mass-production as the first in the series of MIKRO-Man fold-up sculptures.
