Guess the Famous Film by the Outfit

Some hardcore cinephiles can recite entire scenes and identify continuity errors in their favorite films at any given moment, but do you need to be as dedicated and obsessed to recognize classic outfits famously worn by iconic characters? French photographer Candice Milon puts the viewer to the test with eight familiar ensembles, neatly laid out, from cult classic films.

This photo series was shot for an editorial spread titled La Mode en Grand cran, translated as Fashion on the Big Screen, in French magazine Sport & Style. The series pays homage to the imperative costume design choices in movies. After all, what would cinema be without its fashion? From Back to the Future‘s Marty McFly with his plaid shirt, denim jacket, and red puffy vest to match his sneakers and skateboard to Wall Street‘s Gordon Gekko in business attire, adorned with suspenders, pens, cufflinks, and tie clip, each character is dressed to suit their respective personalities.
