Elegant Flowers Sculpted Into Unexpected Minimalist Arrangements

Postures is an elegant photo series that features minimalist floral sculptures held up with thin pieces of wire. Created by Sweden-based conceptual photographer Carl Kleiner, the collection conveys emotions through the positions of still objects. A flower hanging upside-down with the bud pressed to the table communicates sensations of sadness that emanate from the photograph.

The stems are bent and twisted into unusual shapes that are both intriguing and filled with energy, and the still objects pop out against the neutral background in a graceful dance. Kleiner illuminates the simple lines and curves with a dramatic light that highlights the bold colors and also casts dark shadows throughout the composition.

If you enjoy these clean and meticulously arranged works, you may also enjoy Kleiner's Anything Can Fly series in which he playfully suspends everyday objects in mid-air.
