Denmark’s Historic Postal Service Ends Letter Delivery After 400 Years

It’s the end of an era in Denmark. After more than 400 years, the Nordic nation is closing PostNord, Denmark and Sweden’s government-owned mail carrier. As a system that has existed since 1624, it is one of the Nordic region’s largest employers. While letters will still be delivered in Sweden, PostNord has decided to discontinue its letter service in Denmark and focus solely on package delivery.

Meet the 56 Artists Featured in the 2026 Whitney Biennial

Since its founding in 1930, the Whitney Museum has sought to define the canon of American art. As part of that endeavor, the New York-based institution has staged iconic biennials every other year for nearly a century, seeking to capture the country’s cultural, political, and artistic undercurrents. Now, the Whitney has announced the 56 artists, duos, and collectives that will participate in the forthcoming Whitney Biennial 2026, opening on March 8, 2026.

The Louvre To Hike Ticket Prices by 45% for Non-EU Visitors

Most non-EU tourists will probably want to visit the Louvre before January 14, 2026. From that date forward, the Parisian museum will hike ticket prices by 45% for visitors outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), from €22 to €32 (about $25 to $37). Guests from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, all countries participating in the EEA agreement, are exempt from the increase, while Britons and Russians are expected to pay the higher price.
