Window Washers Dress as Grime-Fighting Superheroes for Children’s Hospital Patients

San Francisco's UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital recently surprised their patients by having Mastercare Window Washing's special group of window washers come for a visit. Instead of just washing the windows, these “grime fighters” came with another mission in mind. The powerful do-gooders effortlessly rappeled down the sides of buildings, keeping the windows gleaming, dressed up as popular superheroes in the hopes of bringing a smile to the children's faces. Their mission was clearly accomplished, as cancer patient Jesus recalls looking out his window and excitedly noticing that Superman was there. Iron Man even took the time to visit a young boy named Armando in his room. Once they were done fighting grime, all the superheroes got together and played with the patients in the hospital's playroom.

The children's hospital staff also decided to wear their own capes, giving their daily acts of heroism a more literal superhero costume. In a blog post, UCSF writes: “By the end of the day, our windows were sparkling… and our kids were happy.”
