Quirky Kid’s Bed Modeled After a VW Bus Captures the Fun of the Iconic Vehicle

Sleeping in a van seems like something reserved for epic road trips, but furniture company Circu has created a way for kids to enjoy the fun—they’ve produced a limited edition Bun Van bed that’s modeled after the iconic VW Bus. It’s primarily a place to sleep, but it goes beyond slumber and is a room within a room—accompanying a mattress is a TV, secretary, mini bar, and sofa.

Inspired by what the VW Bus symbolizes—fun, freedom and adventure—Circu has crafted the 157-foot piece in a striking likeness. The exterior features fiberglass construction with chrome-plated finishes, and the inside is clad in palisander wood veneer. Its interior seating and dashboard serve as ample storage and shelving, leaving plenty of room for special stuffed animals or prized knick knacks.

This bed appeals to those both young and old. For adults, it can represent nostalgia and the carefree days of youth. Kids, on the other hand, will love the novelty of having a “van” in their room—it’ll no longer be a struggle to get them ready for bed!
