Contemplative Window-Peeking Souls

Frank Neu's collection, Reflection, is completely captivating. It consists of women looking lost, deep in thought as they peer through the window. The separation created by the window makes the viewer feel almost distant from the subject in the photograph. The dazed stares also adds to this effect, making Neu's photographs seem very eerie, yet in a beautiful way. The blue hues and reflection in the windows, makes the some of the photos appear like double exposures, adding a dreamy feeling.

"The Idea behind this idea was, that the window should tell a story," Neu tells us. "It's always the same window from my little balcony. It's a story about the people who look through the window... their thoughts, their wishes and their desire. In the last two years, I have photographed 84 people behind this window."
