"Although life is only a circus, we still have to play vividly," says Maleonn, a talented Shanghai-based photographer who has gained a cult over the years because of his fable-like photographs. By looking at his highly creative images, you can really tell he put a lot of thought and effort into creating these intricate sets.

"I have a strong desire to 'manipulate' the objects, in an attempt to have them affected by me, and in turn become a part of the framework I have designed for my photos. They serve as a narrative medium for me and a symbolic code for my work." -Maleonn
