In a city packed with speeding cars, biking at night probably isn't the safest way to travel. After all, only a small fraction of streets have dedicated bike lanes. That's where LightLane comes along. Lasers on the bike project a crisply defined virtual bike lane on the street, thus providing drivers with a familiar boundary to avoid. Still in concept mode, I'm not entirely convinced that this gadget would drastically decrease biker fatalities, but hey, every little bit helps.
