What an awesome optical illusion! As part of a national campaign promoting McDonald’s restaurants, a downtown Vancouver lamp post appears to pour coffee into a giant cup on the sidewalk. At the time, McDonald’s was giving away free small cups of its brew for a two-week period, in an effort to attract new breakfast customers. The post was wrapped in brown vinyl to resemble poured coffee, while an oversized carafe was attached to the end. Way to give people an experience!

It's times like these when advertising is at its best. Don't you agree?

def a disruptive piece of communications. bravo for the creativity. However, a part of me feels that "haters" of advertising will use examples like this to shut down OOH advertising. I recall seeing a story in Tallahassee, FL that they were trying to prohibit OOH billboards in their community.
