My Modern Metropolis

Wow, how fun are these? Canada-based visual artist Ingrid Dabringer finds art where most of us wouldn't normally look. She uses acrylic paint to draw playful and happy characters on, what else, but ordinary maps. “I like to elevate the mundane," she says. "The mundane is so saturated with meaning if we just take an extra second to dwell on it. The mundane is saturated with symbolism."
