Legendary Ballerina Misty Copeland Took Her Final Bow at Lincoln Center

After 25 years, famed ballerina Misty Copeland has retired from her career with the American Ballet Theatre (ABT). Copeland marked the occasion with a final performance, held on October 22 at Lincoln Center in New York, following a five-year hiatus from the stage. “After 25 years with ABT, I took my final bow surrounded by the company and community that have shaped my life and career,” Copeland wrote in an Instagram post.

The Antarctic is one of the harshest and most unforgiving landscapes on Earth, yet French dancer and choreographer Victoria Dauberville recently selected its icy waters as her stage. In collaboration with fellow dancer, photographer, and director Mathieu Forget, she created a breathtaking performance on the edge of a cruise ship’s bilge.
