Photographer Duplicates Self to Create Illusion of Twins

The relationship between brothers is often a strong bond, even more so with twins. 19-year-old photographer David Talley decided to explore that unique relationship in this series, simply entitled Twins. Each composition is a display of the love and support that brothers provide to one another. In times of competition, one is destined to conquer the other. Then, in times of struggle, one will protect and carry the other.

The emotional series is absolutely extraordinary once viewers realize that the “twins” are actually double self-portraits of the artist himself. He photographs himself in each pose, and then digitally merges the images together to create the final, and insanely realistic compositions. Talley's amazing technical skills are evident both in his compositions as well as his flawless digital capabilities, and he shows off his compositing techniques in a how-to tutorial here.
