
30-year-old longboarder and photographer Elmo Hernandez recently reached out to us to show his beautiful surf photos. Combining his two passions, he's created a dazzling set of images all taken on the north coast of Spain (mostly in Asturias).
"I've been taking pictures since 2007, when I owned a little compact camera, but I definitely fell in love with photography when I bought my first reflex camera at the end of 2009," he tells us. "What I love about surfing is the feeling of being part of nature, the direct contact with the sea and the feeling of peace that surrounds you every time you get into the water.
"What I try to catch in my pictures is the accurate moment when remarkable things are happening; not only a big wave, or a great surfer gliding but something that becomes recorded in my mind."
