Digital Interpretations of Surreal Solitude

Digital Photo Collages by Philip McKay

We discovered UK-based artist Philip McKay's work on our very own website when he submitted some of his stunning work to our Photos section. [Editor's note: This is referring to our old website.] His digital artwork leaves a feeling of solitude and confinement. In many of the manipulated stills, the subject is at a distance in an empty land. Even when there is some companionship, there's a sense of loneliness and tension. The occasional faint tints of color and hints of surrealism that McKay incorporates into his work are subtle yet effective. I could get lost in these vast worlds along with these intriguing characters.
