
Mark the date! On April 9th, "The Simpsons" stamps will be unveiled. The U.S. Postal Service will immortalize and celebrate the the longest-running primetime comedy's 20th anniversary this year with stamps that include Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.
The 44-cent first-class mail stamps, designed by Simpsons creator and executive producer Matt Groening, will feature the Simpson family in all of their splendor.
Of the 50,000 stamp suggestions the Postal Service receives each year, only about 20 ideas make the cut and we're glad the Simpsons did! According to
The Hollywood Reporter, the U.S. Postal Service will immortalize Springfield’s first family on
five 44-cent first-class mail stamps!
Artwork for the 44-cent stamps was done by The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening and will be available for preview April 9 at
www.usps.com. At that time the post office plans to announce the date the stamps will go on sale.
