El Mac Mural in Vietnam

In certain worlds, Miles MacGregor is known as El Mac, the highly talented street artist who creates rich and colorful murals. He recently painted a beautiful one in front of San Art, an independent artist space in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Based on a photo of his girlfriend’s grandmother, Kosoom, the large piece makes the grandmother look as though she is glowing.

What makes El Mac so special is his choice of subjects. He documents different people from varying places, selects a handful he likes, and then he paints them on walls around the world. The video Viet Nam: The World Tour is “to be a reflection of how El Mac saw the world of Viet Nam for the first time.”
