The annual Carnival of Venice is easily the one of the most elaborate and elegant festivals around the world. Around 30,000 visitors descend onto Venice for each day with many of them wearing ornate, hand painted masks. It's interesting to note that the Carnival started as a way of celebrating and expressing people of all classes. That is why the masks played such an important role. They hid any form of identity.
Photographer Suchet Suwanmongkol properly captures all the splendor as he shows us the colorful costumes roaming the Venice streets. Talk about wearing your art!
