Hildesheim, Germany-based photographer Elke Vogelsang (a.k.a. "Wieselblitz") turns her lens toward her three dogs to capture the essence of their vibrant personalities. Vogelsang, whose delightful dog portraits we first shared last March, continues to document the playful antics of her animal companions and other pets through incredibly expressive portraits shot in a studio setting.

After years of experience modeling for Vogelsang, the photographer's rescue dogs Noodles, Scout, and Ioli appear totally at ease in front of the camera. With the promise of treats or playtime after the shoot, the adorable trio are more than happy to sit obediently, make funny faces, and dress up in scarves and sweaters while their human snaps away. Whether photographing her own or other owners' beloved pups, Vogelsang manages to capture portraits of canines at their most candid moments, allowing each dog's true character to shine through wonderfully.
