Jesse Eisenberg has long been dedicated to giving blood, but he’s now taking his generosity to the next level by donating a kidney to a complete stranger. When asked about his selfless decision earlier this year on the Today show, the Oscar-nominated actor said, “I don’t know why. I got bitten by the blood donation bug. I’m doing an altruistic donation (in) mid-December. I’m so excited to do it.

Turkeys Were ‘Adopted’ Rather Than Eaten in Wholesome Thanksgiving Initiative

Every year, over 40 million turkeys are eaten during Thanksgiving. Hoping to turn things around for at least some of these birds, initiatives have taken a different approach to celebrating this holiday. Rather than being turned into a meal, turkeys across the country were “adopted” by families. It’s not like these birds are being brought into random homes as pets, but rather families donated money to the care of the turkeys throughout their lives.

17-Year-Old Becomes Youngest Person Ever To Pass the California Bar Exam

While most teenagers are still figuring things out, a teen named Sophia Park already achieved her dream of becoming an attorney at the age of 17. She became the youngest person ever to pass the California bar exam, surpassing her brother Peter Park’s previous record. On March 28, District Attorney Tim Ward had the honor of swearing in Sophia as Tulare County’s newest deputy district attorney.
