German photographer Marie Schmidt takes us back to the basics with a slight fashion twist. Decked out in vibrant, eye-popping period dress, the models were captured by Schmidt roaming about the great outdoors. Hometown Romance is a series that features Henriette and Seraphina in the fields near a farm, which makes for a welcoming shoot. The freelance photographer really uses her skill to create the grandness of being outdoors, yet juxtaposes the setting with some highly fashionable ensembles.
